Louise Shore, esq.
Louise Shore, esq. always wanted to be a lawyer, following in the footsteps of four generations of lawyers on her father's side. She was a straight A student right through school, seeming to have a knack for academics from an early age, and eventually graduated from Harvard Law School, majoring in Criminal Law and Medical Malpractice. She was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut and is the youngest of three sisters. She is, however, the only one who wanted a career in law like her father, her other two sisters ending up as a vet and a nurse. After graduating, she worked in a private law firm in Boston for two years before scoring a highly sought-after position at huge New York City law firm, Campbell Page & Waterston.
Just a couple of short months after starting her position in New York, Louise was faced with what would be the most difficult case of her life when young doctor, Lachlan Campbell, was shot at close range at the back entrance of the hospital he worked at by the sister of one of his patients. The woman had been infatuated with Dr. Campbell and had been stalking him without his knowledge. She became angered when Lachlan proposed to his girlfriend, Tara, and when she confronted the young couple with intent to shoot Tara, Lachlan jumped in front of his love and took the bullet, ending up in a coma. Lachlan eventually recovered after a long rehabilitation period, but the case had firmly fallen into Louise's lap at the time. The woman soon got life in prison, and to this day Louise remains friends with Lachlan and his wife.
In a recent turn of events, after much discussion, Louise offered to become a surrogate for her eldest sister, who had been trying to conceive with her husband for five years with no luck. Louise figured that she certainly hadn't met the right guy yet, so there were no plans for her to marry and settle down on the horizon and she had a perfectly healthy uterus. She loves both of her sisters, and would do anything for them. This was just a drop in the ocean in her eyes. She fell pregnant on the third IVF attempt and although she has taken to the task like she would in preparation of a case, she's nervous and a little scared about the prospect of being pregnant and experiencing the surrogacy process.
"I do it my way..."
- Louise Shore, esq.
Louise is a bit of an enigma when you first meet her. She is highly professional and successful in her career, presenting herself immaculately with a non-nonsense attitude required to be a successful lawyer. She is kind-hearted and approachable, but she has a hunger for kicking-ass in the court room and will stop at nothing to win a case. It was this attitude that gained her the position with Campbell Page & Waterston, where she has now worked her way up to partner of the firm. To this day, still remains in high regard in Mark Campbell's eyes, who was. In her personal life, however, Louise has more than a wild side. She rides a Harley Davidson motorcycle, likes to wear leather, visit night clubs, and have rough sex. She likes guys who can keep up with her, and can have a sharp tongue and colourful vocabulary at times. Of course, she is intent on keeping her social life and professional life completely separate, with only her closest friends and family knowing both sides of her. She has a wicked sense of humour and is sometimes hard to read, but once she lets you in, it's easy to see where the ambitious and cut throat lawyer ends and the friendly wild chick starts, with maybe a glimpse of a softer, caring hometown girl blurred somewhere in between.
